The UMCSEET compilation signals the coming together of four different projects which have been covering overlooked histories and alternative art in the former Eastern Bloc and Yugoslavia in the second half of the 20th century: Germany’s Major Label and Zonic platform, Poland’s Notes From the Underground exhibition and Portugal’s Unearthing the Music project.

This bundle also includes 80 page book launched on occasion of Unearthing the Music’s conference held at the Goethe Institute Lisbon, in February 2018. It features texts by journalist Chris Bohn (The Wire), musicians Chris Cutler and Alexei Borisov and curator Daniel Muzyczuk, plus interviews with the renowed czech-underground specialist Martin Machovec and the hungarian musician Laszlo Hortobagyi.
